Australian Quokka 2023 1oz Silver Bullion Coin

Following the sell-out of all previous Australian Quokka 1oz silver bullion coins, this 2023 investor release features a superb new artistic impression of the iconic Western Australian marsupial.

Quokkas are wallaby-like marsupials found mainly in the south west region of Western Australia, particularly Rottnest Island, an idyllic location 18 kilometres off the Perth coastline. About the same size of domestic cats, furry quokkas are extremely sociable animals blessed with a cute, smiley appearance that’s made them a popular subject for ‘selfies’ in the age of social media.

The coin bears the official Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty’s reign – ‘1952 – 2022’. Also included on the obverse is the coin’s monetary denomination. For additional peace of mind, the coin incorporates an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter. Detectable under a magnifying glass, it is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited.

The coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
