The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,000 of the Brisbane Money Expo ANDA Special Australian Kookaburra 2023 1oz Silver Coin with Brolga Privy Mark.
The coin portrays an image of two kookaburras perched on the ranches of a shrub displaying the flowers of Australian native waratah. The design includes a coloured privy mark representation of a brolga, a large grey crane famous for its energetic dance performance, which became the official bird emblem of Queensland in 1986. The design also incorporates the inscription KOOKABURRA, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the coin’s weight, purity and 2023 year-date. The coin bears The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of her reign, and the monetary denomination.
The coin is presented in a coloured presentation card which incorporates a fold-out stand for upright display.
