2020 Supercars - VS Holden Commodore Coloured 50c PNC

The VS was the final iteration of the much-loved second-generation Commodore, powered by a large 5.0-litre Chevrolet VS engine producing 450kW of power. Who better for the Holden Racing Team to put at the helm of this beast than Craig Lowndes, the young homegrown hero who won his debut ATCC title in 1996, at age 20, and who had recently returned from a stint in Europe.

In 1998, "The Kid" immediately picked up where he left off, winning the Sandown round and sending a warning to his more experienced rivals, including fellow teammate Mark Skaife, who had replaced retired superstar Peter Brock. Lowndes went on to win half of the season's rounds and take out his second ATCC title.

The Holden VS Commodore postal numismatic cover is limited to just 6,500, featuring a pictorial envelope with the stamp and Holden VS Commodore tab from the 60 Years of Supercars stamp pack and an uncirculated coin from the Royal Australian Mint.
