The Adelaide pound designs are struck on a gold plated silver center which is the exact diameter of the original coin. For the designs a Type I cracked die original was replicated using state-of-the-art scanning technology.

The reduction punch from which the working die was created was cut directly by a computer controlled engraving machine.
A numbered certificate of authenticity is included in an accompanying booklet which provides a concise history of the events leading up to the striking of thew coin.
