1997 United Kingdom Standard Proof collection contains Proof versions of the circulating range of the UK coins for 1997 and includes a £5 coin celebrating the Golden Wedding of Her Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Philip, a £2 coin featuring a distinctive new design, and a £1 coin honouring England.

The collection also houses the new smaller fifty pence and its larger counterpart approved at the time of decimalisation.
