Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,000 of the Perth 2023 National Stamp and Coin Exhibition Koala 2023 1oz Silver Coloured Coin.
DESIGN
The coin portrays a koala climbing a eucalyptus tree with a ‘joey’ clinging to its back. Included in the design are the inscriptions ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, as well as the coin’s weight, purity and year-date.
The coin bears The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty’s reign, and the monetary denomination.
PRESENTATION
The coin is presented in a coloured presentation card which incorporates a fold-out stand for upright display.
