2013 Bicentenary of the Holey Dollar and Dump Three Coin Silver Proof Set

To celebrate the bicentenary of Australia’s first official currency, the Holey Dollar and Dump, the Royal Australian Mint has collaborated with the Real Casa de la Moneda (Spanish Mint) to create this exceptional silver proof three coin set.

The commemorative 10 euro coin features a reproduction of an obverse design of the eight reale coins. This coin is the first ever to bear a unique ‘C’ privy mark, echoing the Royal Australian Mint’s Canberra mintmark which highlights the significance of this international partnership and monetary milestone. The reverse designs of the accompanying $1 and 25 cent coins are reminiscent of the original Holey Dollar and Dumps, which have become rare and valuable.
