  • Tuvalu legal tender

In 2025 the lunar calendar marks the Year of the Snake. According to tradition, the snake finished sixth in the Emperor’s ‘Great Race’ and subsequently it has represented every sixth year in the 12-year lunar cycle.

Wise, intelligent, independent, and charming, the snake is said to bestow many positive characteristics on people born during its years of influence – including 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, 1965 and 1953.

Resembling a coiled snake, the rotating charm at the coin’s centre is made from 18-carat gold-plated sterling silver. It is surrounded by a representation of two snakes among stylised foliage. Also featuring The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and 2025 year-date, the coin has been ‘antiqued’ to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact.

Accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity, the coin is presented in a classic black display case with a clear lid and stylishly themed shipper.
