2005 Sydney Half Sovereign 1855 $1 Proof Subscription Coin
Collectors were given a 4-week period in March/April 2005 in which to order the coin. Once the order period had closed and numbers were known the production run was completed striking only sufficient coins to fill orders plus a small proportion for distribution by selected numismatic dealers.
Encapsulated in a gold leatherette hinged-lid presentation case accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. A cardboard outer case with an embossed rendition of the coin's reverse design protects this reproduction of the extremely rare 1855 Sydney Mint half sovereign.
