1996 Don Bradman $5 five dollar Al/Bronze Proof Coin

This coin was struck as a special tribute to Sir Donald Bradman who gained international recognition for his cricketing prowess over a career spanning the mid 1920's to the late 1940's. The reverse design depicts Sir Donald in characteristic pose preparing to drive through the off-side.

This coin is encapsulated and housed in a green leatherette hinged lid presentation case within a cardboard box accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. 

Several of these coins were donated to the Bradman Foundation. They included number 1 number 999 (representing Bradman's test average of 99.94) number 452 (his highest first class cricket score) and number 334 (his highest test cricket score).
